The main concept of the project is to create a longitudinal spatial structure and to maximise its openness towards the garden by positioning the building as close as possible to the eastern boundary of the plot. This arrangement allows for a significant expansion of the green space, making it the dominant compositional element, to which the entire functional and spatial organisation of the house is subordinated. On the street side, the building adopts a more restrained form – limited to the entrance zone and the kitchen – which acts as a deliberate counterpoint to the strongly open, panoramic façade facing the garden.
The interior of the house is designed as a sequence of spaces arranged along a primary compositional axis. The living area, together with the study or guest room, opens broadly onto the garden, creating a seamless transition between interior and landscape. At the opposite end of the layout lies a more intimate private zone – the bedroom – oriented in a different direction, reinforcing a clear separation between areas with varying degrees of accessibility and exposure. The guest room is treated as a sculptural, autonomous element of the composition – a space of focus that simultaneously maintains a constant visual dialogue with the garden, while its external wall shapes and organises the open living area.
From a structural perspective, a hybrid system combining load-bearing walls with a post-and-beam framework in the roof structure has been employed. This solution enables precisely controlled spatial effects, including large glazed openings and a flexible articulation of views towards the garden. The overall form of the building, together with the roof geometry and materials derived from the villa-scale context, allows the house to blend harmoniously into its surroundings while maintaining a clear formal and conceptual autonomy.
