The TBS residential development in Szczecin is a response to contemporary urban living needs—combining access to services and social spaces with proximity to nature and the intimacy of everyday life. Located in a unique suburban setting with panoramic views of the city and the Oder River valley, the project is shaped by a careful understanding of its landscape and surroundings.
At the heart of the concept lies a vibrant urban boulevard—Ukośna Street—which serves as the main axis of social life. It accommodates services, circulation, and shared public spaces, becoming a lively focal point for residents. Perpendicular to this axis, residential buildings extend into the site, forming a system of semi-open courtyards and green communal areas. This layout creates a balance between the energy of urban life and the private character of living close to nature.
The masterplan is based on six residential buildings with a cohesive and repeatable architectural form, creating a clear and functional spatial structure. The development is organized into three main zones: an urban zone along the boulevard, a residential zone with semi-public courtyards, and a recreational zone featuring a landscape park with viewpoints and spaces for leisure and activity.
Accessibility is a key aspect of the design. All buildings are equipped with elevators, step-free entrances, and wide access galleries, ensuring комфорт and ease of use for people of all ages and abilities.
The architectural and technical solutions emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and durability. Underground parking minimizes car presence at ground level, allowing outdoor spaces to be dedicated to greenery and social interaction. The project also incorporates sustainable strategies such as rainwater retention, green roofs, and the potential for future photovoltaic installations.
This development represents a contemporary model of social housing—where architecture, landscape, and community life come together to create a cohesive, livable, and future-oriented environment.
